(LOOTPRESS) – The upcoming full Strawberry Moon is scheduled for Friday evening, June 21, 2024, and it will be visible opposite the Sun at 9:08 PM EDT in Earth-based longitude.
In the 1930s, the Maine Farmer’s Almanac started introducing “Indian” names for full Moons, which have now become widely recognized and adopted.
According to the Almanac, the full Moon in June gets its name from the relatively short season for harvesting strawberries in the northeastern United States.
As always, feel free to dress festively to commemorate the full Moon. If you’re not allergic, indulge in strawberries, flowers, and honey during this “sweetest” month of the year, and take a moment to observe how low in the sky this full Moon will be.
