HINTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Summers County 911 Center has received a new vehicle that will enhance the county’s emergency response capabilities.
Once fully outfitted, the vehicle will support emergency management operations, serve as an incident command center, and function as a mobile 911 unit if the main facility must be evacuated.
Officials say the vehicle will significantly improve the county’s preparedness during emergencies.
The vehicle will be assigned to the 911 and Office of Emergency Management (OEM) Director, a role that requires 24/7 availability and frequent travel to meetings, trainings, and conferences across the state.
Installation of emergency and communications equipment will begin in the coming weeks.
County officials say the vehicle will be a valuable asset to local emergency response efforts.
