SUMMERS COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Due to the recent tornadoes in Kentucky, the Summers County Sheriff’s Department will be organizing a supply drop to the area affected.
The Sheriff’s Department is asking the public’s help in gathering supplies for those family’s who have lost everything.
“We will be collecting the following items at the Sheriff’s Department, and we will transport them to Kentucky.”
- Non-perishable (canned or dried) include a hand-operated can opener or two with your donation.
- Personal-care items (soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, combs, hairbrushes, shampoo, feminine care products, etc.) are also helpful.
- NEW underwear and socks (in the original packaging)
- Cleaning supplies, baby products. bedding, towels and washcloths, kitchen items (new dishes, pots, pans, coffee makers, paring knives, etc.)
- Also, the water tower in Mayfield was destroyed
- Any new kid’s toys and or bikes
The Sheriff’s Department will start collecting donations from Tuesday, December 14th-Friday December 17th. Please drop off at the Sheriff’s Department during regular office hours from 8 AM – 4 PM.
“We will be delivering the donations to Mayfield, KY Sheriff’s Department to be distributed to those in need.”
