GLEN WHITE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A burglary investigation in the Glen White area of Raleigh County led to the arrest of a suspect Thursday, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Frank Priddy said Deputy W. Sneddon responded to a reported burglary on Jan. 29, 2026.
During the investigation, Deputy Sneddon followed up on leads and requested assistance from Cpl. Howard and his K-9 partner, Scio.
Authorities said a tracking operation was conducted, which ultimately led deputies to the suspect, identified as Rusty Riley. Riley was taken into custody and charged with destruction of property, burglary, and obstructing.
The Sophia Police Department also assisted in the apprehension.
Sheriff Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton commended all officers involved for their quick response and the successful arrest.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
