WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – On Monday, October 25, 2021, at approximately 8:30 pm, TFC S.S. Michael and Trooper J.S. Schartiger responded to a possible explosive device found on a tug boat on the Ohio River near Williamstown in Wood County West Virginia.
Two suspicious devices were located on the boat.
West Virginia State Police – Explosive Response Team responded and safely removed both of the devices.
Several local, state and Federal agencies were also contacted and assisted with the incident.
The West Virginia State Police along with the ATF are working in concert on this investigation.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
