FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A teenage son is facing charges after he assaulted his father and threatened to stab his family, including an unborn child, after the father turned off the Internet.
On October 14, 2024, at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Fayette County 911 Center received a complaint regarding a domestic disturbance at a residence in Danese, West Virginia. The complainant reported that her 19-year-old son had attacked her husband and made violent threats toward the family, including her unborn child.
Fayette County Deputy Sheriff C.D. Cogar responded to the scene at around 6:45 p.m. Upon arrival, the officer met with the suspect’s family, who confirmed that their son, identified as Hayden Kehoe, was inside the house. They advised that although he had access to kitchen knives, there were no firearms in the home.
Once inside, Deputy Cogar detained Hayden Kehoe, who admitted to getting into a physical altercation with his father after his father turned off the internet. Hayden acknowledged hitting his father and making threats out of anger. The father explained that the incident began when he informed his family about financial difficulties and the need to shut off the internet, which led to Hayden becoming hostile and striking him in the head.
The situation escalated further when Hayden threatened to stab everyone in the household, including his stepmother and her unborn child. Following the investigation, Hayden Kehoe was arrested for domestic battery and domestic assault under West Virginia state code 61-2-28(a) and 61-2-28(b). He was transported to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department for processing.
