WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A public auction of The Greenbrier Hotel property in Greenbrier County is set for August 27, 2024, following a default on the Deed of Trust.
The sale will be conducted by J. Patrick Jones, the Substitute Trustee, under the authority granted by the Notice of Substitution of Trustee recorded in the Office of the Clerk of the County Commission of Greenbrier County.
The original Deed of Trust was executed by Greenbrier Hotel Corporation on November 26, 2014, and recorded in the county’s Trust Deed Book.
The auction will take place at 2 PM at the front door of the Greenbrier County Courthouse in Lewisburg.
The property, located in the White Sulphur District, includes the surface lot, buildings, and improvements.
Specific parcels previously released from the Deed of Trust are excepted from this sale.
In addition to the real estate, the sale will include all related improvements, fixtures, personal property, equipment, rents, damage rights, and various permits and ancillary rights collectively referred to as the “Premises,” as detailed in the Deed of Trust.
Attorney Bob Wolford speaking on behalf of the Justices’ told MetroNews Thursday morning that The Greenbrier would not be sold and that the “Justice family will take all necessary action to ensure that there will not be any adverse impact on their ownership of the Greenbrier or the Greenbrier’s operations.”
