BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The LOOTPRESS Week 4 Pet of the Week is…Daisy!
Daisy is a West Virginia born and raised German Shorthaired Pointer and is 14 years young.
She enjoys going on car rides, chasing things which have been tossed to the ground, and eating just about anything she can get her paws on.
Daisy has spent much time competing in various events across the country, having trained professionally with the family-owned All N Kennels & Farm.
In 2015 she became the only West Virginia dog ever to win the National German Shorthaired Pointer Association (NGSPA) Shooting Dog Championship in Booneville, Arkansas.
She has also won and placed in many other NGSPA and AKC bird hunting events around the east coast and midwest during her competitive career.
Daisy took a step back from competitive life in 2017 to focus on her retirement, which she has since spent as a faithful companion to her owners Cindy and Joe.
“She’s slowed down a little bit,” says Cindy, “but still loves to have fun playing and running around in the beautiful hills of West Virginia.”
We would like to thank everyone who made submissions this week, and are excited to congratulate Daisy, the LOOTPRESS’ Week 4 Pet of the Week, in association with the Humane Society of Raleigh County!
While we certainly wish we could shine a spotlight on each and every pet for which we receive a submission, submissions and resubmissions are always welcome and encouraged, and can be made through this brief form.
The Humane Society of Raleigh County will be holding a fundraiser this weekend in support of the Delaney Wykle Animal Wellness Center.
The event will take place Saturday, September 24th at Burning Rock ATV Resort, and will feature a number of activities for the whole family. These include face painting, games, a bounce house & slide, live music, food, a Jeep show, and more!
Sponsorship opportunities are still available, and more information on the event can be obtained here or by calling (304) 222-2402.
