BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The LOOTPRESS Week 8 Pet of the Week is Charleigh!
Charleigh was adopted as a kitten in late 2021 from the good folks at the Humane Society of Raleigh County.
In addition to her history with HSRC, the origins of Charleigh’s name entail a certain history as well, specifically that of what is arguably the greatest rock & roll band of all time.
As dedicated fans of English classic rock outfit, The Rolling Stones, Charleigh’s adoptive family – along with music fans around the world – felt the collective punch to the gut which came with the passing of the band’s iconic drummer Charlie Watts the very same week they brought the newest member of their family into their home.
As such, they decided it would be a fitting tribute to bestow upon their new pal the name “Charleigh,” in honor of the late drummer.
We would like to thank everyone who made submissions this week, and are excited to congratulate Charleigh, the LOOTPRESS Week 8 Pet of the Week, in association with the Humane Society of Raleigh County!
The Humane Society of Raleigh County is offering sponsored adoptions for a limited time, which entails waived adoption fees for the month resulting from the work of Subaru and its retailers, including Raleigh County’s own Hometown Subaru through their association with HSRC.
