ORIGINAL STORY: Multiple homes and businesses in Beckley and the surrounding area are without power as of Saturday morning.
According to Appalachian Power, 2,212 customers are without power in Raleigh County as of 11:45 AM.
The outages are mostly in the Beckley, Skelton, Stanaford, and Piney View areas.
Appalachian Power is currently assessing the outage and estimates power to be restored to these areas by tonight at 8 PM.
