GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Thousands are without power in West Virginia as a heat wave continues to affect most of the Mountain State.
As of Monday at 5:45 PM, over 20,000 households and businesses are without power in West Virginia.
FirstEnergy customers are most affected with 20,117 without power.
The hardest hit counties include:
Greenbrier: 16,355
Monroe: 3,120
Pocahontas: 1,310
Summers: 121
The cause of the outages is unknown at this time and is under investigation by power crews, according to FirstEnergy.
