MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three individuals in connection with a string of telecommunication cable thefts that have caused significant damage and disruption over the past year.
The suspects, identified as Garrett Weeder, 35, of Gans, PA; Jeffrey Howell, 38, of Uniontown, PA; and Saviour McDonald, 25, of Morgantown, WV, were taken into custody following an ongoing investigation into the theft of cables containing valuable copper, which is often sold to scrap yards for profit.
Authorities are now seeking the public’s help in locating a fourth suspect, Ronald “Buddy” Boyer, 42,originally from Point Marion, PA, and known to stay in Morgantown.
Boyer is wanted on multiple charges, including:
- Grand Larceny
- Felony Destruction of Property
- Attempted Grand Larceny
- Two counts of Felony Conspiracy
