WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A routine traffic stop in Wyoming County led to the discovery of approximately 1.52 pounds of suspected methamphetamine, along with firearms and cash, according to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department.
On Friday, March 14, 2025, Corporal Tucker Cook pulled over a 2015 green Chevrolet Silverado near East Pineville.
The driver, Jamie Owens, did not have a valid license and appeared nervous, with shaking hands, authorities said.
Two passengers, Rachel Gibson and Rose Robertson, were also in the vehicle.
Deputy Matthew Perry deployed K-9 Cain to conduct an open-air sniff of the vehicle, resulting in a positive alert for narcotics.
A subsequent search uncovered a hidden compartment containing approximately 690 grams (1.52 pounds) of suspected methamphetamine.
Deputies also found two firearms and about $690 in cash.
As a result, Owens and Gibson were arrested for possession with intent to deliver and drug conspiracy.
Robertson was also charged with drug conspiracy and as a prohibited person in possession of a firearm due to a previous felony conviction for nighttime burglary.
All three suspects are currently at Southern Regional Jail.
