BLUEFIELD, VA (LOOTPRESS) – Appalachian Power will conduct utility work on Sunday, Nov. 9, that will result in rolling traffic stops along Route 460 between Bluefield and Tazewell, Virginia.
According to the company, crews will be replacing a smaller utility pole with a larger one and will also restring lines and move conductors.

The work is part of Appalachian Power’s ongoing make-ready efforts to expand broadband access in rural areas.
The traffic stops are scheduled to take place from 8:30 a.m. to about 2:00 p.m., weather permitting. The work area will be near Grandview Memorial Gardens.
Traffic flagging crews and police will be present to help direct vehicles and ensure safety.
Motorists traveling through the area should plan for delays.
