FAYETTEVILLE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A traffic stop in Fayetteville early Saturday morning led to the arrest of two people and the seizure of a large quantity of methamphetamine and a firearm, according to a press release from the Fayetteville Police Department.
Police said the incident occurred at approximately 12:04 a.m. on January 31, 2026, when officers conducted a traffic stop for minor traffic violations near Keller Avenue along Route 19 in Fayetteville.
During the course of the investigation, officers searched the vehicle and recovered a firearm and approximately 114 grams of methamphetamine.
The driver, Misty D. St. John, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy, reckless driving, and traffic violations.
The passenger, Robert P. Boggs, was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, conspiracy to commit a felony, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
Both individuals are currently at Southern Regional Jail on a $50,000 bond.
