HANOVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A routine traffic stop by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department on Friday night led to the arrest of a man and the seizure of approximately 160 grams of fentanyl, along with other drugs, cash, and digital scales.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, Sergeant Christian Hedinger and Corporal Jacob Ellison discovered about 8 grams of suspected marijuana, more digital scales, and two cell phones.
Field tests confirmed the presence of fentanyl, a Schedule II controlled substance.
All seized materials will be sent to the West Virginia State Police Crime Lab for further analysis.
