BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The community is mourning the loss of a former Woodrow Wilson football player who died in a car crash.
Beckley Police Detective, David Allard, confirms to Lootpress that Aiden Shehan, 19, died on Monday night due to a crash that occurred at around 10:53 pm in the 1500 block of Harper Road.
Shehan was a 2020 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and played football for the Flying Eagles.
No other details about what caused the crash has been released.
Beckley Football released the following statement: “Our hearts are devastated as we learn of the loss of one of our own. A Flying Eagle taken way too soon. Please keep the family of Aiden Shehan in your prayers, especially his mother, his brother Peyton, and our Beckley football family. Fly high buddy, we love you.”
