BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Trap Hill Little League was presented with a check from the Raleigh County Commission during the most recent Regular Session meeting of the commission on Tuesday.
The funds, presented in the amount of $38,708 to the Trap Hill Little League program, will reportedly go toward maintenance and preparation of the Trap Hill Little League baseball field to prepare the venue for next year’s upcoming season.
Present for the meeting and presentation were Brandon Ellison, Benjamin Worley, Trap Hill Little League President Kyle Webb, Field Vice President Justin Brenton, Erik Bower, Tyler Webb, and Adam Buchanan, along with members of the Raleigh County Commission.
The presentation came as part of agenda item 5.15 for the meeting – Consideration of a grant to the Trap Hill Little League in the amount of $38,708 – which was ultimately approved by members of the commission.
Tuesday’s meeting also saw approval of the Pinecrest Industrial Park deed and transfer agreement with the City of Beckley. The City of Beckley would likewise approved the first reading of an ordinance confirming the city’s commitment to the agreement. The ordinance is expected to be presented once again in the coming weeks for approval on its second reading.
The Raleigh County Commission will next meet on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.
