CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Tropical Storm Debby is expected to bring showers and storms to the Mid-Atlantic states, including our region, through the end of the week.
The National Weather Service in Charleston predicts the heaviest rainfall will occur east of I-79, and east of I-64 south of Charleston, starting this afternoon and continuing into Friday.
While the rain is generally expected to be beneficial, there is a possibility of localized water issues in areas prone to poor drainage.
However, severe weather is not anticipated from Debby in our area.
The storm is expected to move out by the weekend, bringing drier conditions and cooler temperatures into early next week.
