(LOOTPRESS) – Donald Trump‘s Campaign Pollster says not to worry about “The Harris Honeymoon,” saying that polls will give her a bump.
“Many of you may have heard me talk about the upcoming “Harris Honeymoon” that I anticipate seeing in the public polling over the next couple of weeks. As I’ve explained, the honeymoon will be a result of the extensive coverage Harris will receive from the mainstream media (MSM).
The coverage will mostly be positive and will likely energize Democrats and some other parts of their coalition, at least in the short term. This means that we will start to see public polling, particularly national polls, where Harris is gaining on or even leading President Trump. The current situation is unprecedented and has no modern historical parallel. However, some things remain unchanged.
Due to the events of the past two weeks, including our highly successful Convention, President Trump has received a bump in his numbers in recent public polls. This is not surprising, as most candidates historically receive some type of bump. Given recent events and her upcoming VP choice, there is no doubt that Harris will get her bump earlier than the Democrats’ Convention. This bump is likely to become apparent over the next few days and will last until the race settles back down. The Democrats and the mainstream media will likely use these polls to claim that the race has changed. However, the fundamentals of the race remain the same.
The Democrats replacing one nominee with another does not change voters’ discontent over the economy, inflation, crime, the open border, housing costs, not to mention concerns over two foreign wars. Harris’ “honeymoon” will eventually end, and voters will refocus on her role as Biden’s partner and co-pilot.
Importantly, voters will also become aware of Harris’ significantly liberal record before becoming Biden’s partner, contributing to historic inflation (she cast the deciding vote on the IRA), the flood of illegal immigrants at our southern border (she is Biden’s Border Czar), and migrant crime that threatens our families and communities (she set free illegal immigrants who went on to commit violent crimes as DA).
So, while the public polls may change in the short run, and Harris may consolidate more of the Democrat base, she can’t change who she is or what she has done.”
