WASHINGTON, DC (LOOTPRESS) – President Donald Trump has issued a broad pardon for Rudy Giuliani and dozens of other allies accused of involvement in efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The announcement was made late Sunday by Trump’s pardons attorney, Ed Martin.
Martin shared the proclamation on X, stating that 77 individuals were pardoned for activities related to the 2020 election. The list includes several high-profile Trump associates, among them attorneys Sidney Powell, John Eastman, and Kenneth Chesebro, as well as Trump’s former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.
“I, DONALD J. TRUMP, do hereby grant a full, complete, and unconditional pardon to all United States citizens for conduct relating to … any slate of presidential electors … in connection with the 2020 Presidential Election,” the proclamation reads.
The pardons appear largely symbolic, as none of the individuals listed have been convicted of federal crimes. The White House has not yet commented on the announcement, and Trump has not made a public statement.
Earlier this year, Trump issued 1,500 pardons and commuted the sentences of 14 supporters convicted in connection with the January 6 Capitol attack. Among those were members of the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers, both extremist groups found guilty of seditious conspiracy.
Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., condemned those earlier pardons as “an outrageous insult to our justice system.”
