WASHINGTON, D.C. (LOOTPRESS) — The Trump Organization announced Monday the launch of a new wireless service and smartphone under the brand Trump Mobile, with service and devices expected to roll out in September.
The mobile plan, called “The 47 Plan”, is priced at $47.45 per month, a nod to former President Donald Trump, who is serving as the 47th President of the United States. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, and data, along with roadside assistance and a telehealth and pharmacy benefit, according to the official website.
Alongside the service, the company also revealed a new smartphone model named the T1, priced at $499. The device features a gold-colored metal case etched with an American flag, a 6.8-inch AMOLED display, Android 15, 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a 50MP main camera.
The project continues Trump’s trend of launching branded consumer products, including Trump-branded sneakers, watches, and Bibles. However, the Trump Mobile website clarifies that the wireless products and services are offered through licensing agreements, and are not directly designed or manufactured by the Trump Organization or its affiliates.
While the new plan’s cost is higher than many competitors — with Verizon’s Visible offering similar unlimited service at $25/month, and Mint Mobile at $30/month — the Trump Mobile site claims it uses the same network coverage as the three major carriers and includes U.S.-based customer support. A customer service representative declined to confirm the location of the call center, citing “security reasons.”
The Trump family continues to profit from licensing deals. The president recently reported over $8 million in 2024 earnings from branded merchandise agreements.
The launch has sparked criticism from ethics watchdogs who question the blending of political influence and commercial ventures. Still, Trump and his business empire remain active in expanding brand offerings with limited financial risk.
The major wireless carriers Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T have not yet commented on the announcement.
