DAVIS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The final stretch of ski season in West Virginia brings three must-attend events to Tucker County. Canaan Valley Resort will host the Hometown Brew-Fest on March 1, followed by Timberline Mountain’s 65th Annual West Virginia Governor’s Cup Ski Race on March 8 and 9, and Pool Party on March 15.
The Hometown Brew-Fest, set for March 1 from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Canaan Valley Resort’s Bear Paw Lodge Ski Area, will feature craft beers from over 10 local breweries, along with live music from the Zona Hester Band, Soda Pop Gypsies and Electric Blue. Attendees, aged 21 and older, can enjoy vendor booths, raffles, a DJ set, a torchlight parade, food and more. Lodging is available onsite at Canaan Valley Resort.
On March 8 and 9, Timberline Mountain will host the 65th Annual West Virginia Governor’s Cup Ski Race, the Southeast’s longest-running ski race, presented by the Alpine Festival. The event includes a Giant Slalom race on Saturday and a Slalom race on Sunday, with each participant competing in two runs per course. Winners will receive West Virginia-made glass trophies and prizes, and their names will be engraved on the Governor’s Cup Trophy. Registration is available online only and closes on March 5.
