BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – West Coast sisters Julie and Carli Kennedy – known as Twin Kennedy – will be bringing their talents to the historic Beckley Presbyterian Church as part of Beckley Concert Association’s 2024-2025 concert series.
The siblings – currently based in Nashville, Tennessee – have been creating music together since they were young girls coming up in the small town of Powell River, B.C. Over time, the duo perfected their dynamic collaboration, which makes use of harmonies and stylistic elements of the country, folk, classical, and jazz genres.
The pair’s performance in Beckley, WV – scheduled for 7:30pm on Thursday, December 5, 2024 – will mark a departure for the Beckley Concert Association in that the event will not be held at its usual Woodrow Wilson High School Auditorium venue. The Raleigh County Commission on Aging will also be treated to a sample performance beginning at 10:30am at the Raleigh County Commission on Aging’s 1614 South Kanawha Street location.
The upcoming performance from Twin Kennedy will follow Beckley Concert Association performances from Jimmy Buffett Tribute Act, Parrots of the Caribbean, and International String Trio, which were hosted as part of BAC’s 2024-2025 concert performance series lineup. LOOTPRESS spoke with International String Trio bandleader and guitarist, Slava Tolstoy about the group’s Beckley performance. That exchange is available to stream in full at the LOOTPRESS YouTube page.
Additional information on upcoming performances as part of the 2024-2025 season can be found at the Beckley Concert Association website.
