LOGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two women have been arrested after stealing nearly $1,300 in merchandise from a West Virginia Walmart.
According to the West Virginia State Police, on October 30, 2023, Trooper J. L. Marcum responded to Walmart, located at 77 Norman Morgan Blvd, Logan, WV to a reported grand larceny.
Two suspects, unknown at the time, concealed multiple items inside plastic totes and then left the store without paying for the merchandise. Â
The estimated value of Walmart property stolen is approximately $1,281.73. Trooper Marcum continued to investigate and determined the suspects were Alexandria Hatcher and Victoria Ford.
The investigation also revealed these two had attempted to steal approximately $1,351.00 in merchandise from the Walmart in South Williamson, KY.
When that attempt was unsuccessful, the accused traveled to the Walmart in Logan, WV, where the current theft occurred.
Trooper Marcum obtained warrants for arrest for both Hatcher and Ford for Grand Larceny and Conspiracy to Commit Grand Larceny. Â
Ford was arrested on November 17th and Hatcher was arrested on November 18th. Both were transported to the Southwestern Regional Jail where they remain on a $20,000 bond.
