HUNTINGTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people have been arrested in connection to a Huntington structure fire.
According to the Huntington Fire Department, Fire Marshals from the West Virginia State Fire Marshals Office along with investigators from the Huntington Fire Department’s Fire Prevention Bureau recently made the following arrests:
- Stephen White II, 26 of Huntington was arrested on January 9, 2024, and charged with 1st Degree Arson and conspiracy to commit a felony.
- Mikel Norris, 28 of Huntington was arrested on January 8, 2024, and charged with 1st Degree Arson and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Both were arrested after an investigation into a structure fire that occurred in the Walnut Hills area of Huntington in the morning hours of December 26, 2023.
These arrests are the latest this joint investigation team has made following 2023 fire events in the City of Huntington.
A total of 10 arrests stemming from 2023 fire incidents have been made by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal’s Office.
The Huntington Police Department also made three additional arrests for fire incidents in the aforementioned year.
The Huntington Fire Prevention Bureau has assisted on the investigations of each of these events, providing origin and cause findings to the law enforcement counterparts.
