GLEN JEAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two Glen Jean individuals are facing felony charges in Fayette County. Chief Deputy Rod Perdue II provides the following information regarding this incident.
Just before 11:00 pm. on April 19, 2023, deputies responded to a burglary in progress at the Mountainair Mobile Home Park in Glen Jean. Dispatchers with the 911 center were advised that when the homeowners returned to their home, they did notice a window broken and a male and female inside the residence. Before deputies arrived, the male subject had fled to a nearby residence. When deputies arrived, they detained the female and searched for the male, who was located, and missing property from home.
Ashley Billips, 36, and Donald Tartt, 36, are both charged with the felony offense of Nightime Burglary and the misdemeanor offenses of Destruction of Property and Petit Larceny. Tartt is also being charged with Felony Possession of a Firearm and Misdemeanor Brandishing. They were both transported to the Southern Regional Jail to await court proceedings.
