PRINCETON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two people were killed Thursday morning following a crash involving a passenger vehicle and a Mountaineer Transit Authority bus in Princeton.
According to the West Virginia State Police, troopers from the Princeton Detachment responded to the two-vehicle crash around 7:30 a.m. on May 14 along Courthouse Road.
Investigators said Aden Z. King, 19, of Bluefield, was traveling on Courthouse Road with a juvenile passenger when the vehicle crossed into the oncoming lane and collided with a Mountaineer Transit Authority bus.
King and the juvenile passenger were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the driver of the transit bus, identified as 77-year-old Jackson Clark of Bluefield, was flown by helicopter for medical treatment following the crash.
The West Virginia State Police Accident Reconstruction Team is assisting with the investigation.
Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing. Next of kin notifications have been made.
