KENNA, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic dispute in Jackson County on January 19, 2025, led to the arrest of a Kenna woman on charges of domestic battery.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, officers responded to a 911 call about a domestic disturbance at 4477 Kentuck Road at approximately 6:22 PM. Sgt. Williams, Sgt. Varney, and Deputy Abel arrived at the scene and made contact with Bryce Page and Madison Stewart.
Sgt. Williams, the first to arrive, was met by an upset and panicked Page, who had exited the residence upon his arrival. After calming Page, Williams interviewed Stewart, who stated that she and Page had been arguing since 1 PM but claimed the confrontation was only verbal.
Page, after regaining her composure, told officers that she attempted to leave the residence during the argument, but Stewart blocked the back door, preventing her from exiting. Page said she eventually left through the front door and walked to the porch of an unoccupied home across the road. Stewart reportedly followed her and continued the confrontation there.
Page alleged that while trying to walk past Stewart, she bumped into her, prompting Stewart to pull her hair and punch her in the side of the face. Sgt. Williams observed visible injuries on Page, including a large scratch on the right side of her face and another extending from her hairline to her jawbone under her right ear, which Page attributed to the physical altercation.
The two women were confirmed to be in a romantic relationship and had been living together at the residence for some time.
Madison Stewart was arrested on a charge of first-offense domestic battery under West Virginia Code §61-2-28(a). She was transported to the South Central Regional Jail, where she was processed.
