ASHLAND, KY (LOOTPRESS) – Healing Appalachia, the music festival known for promoting recovery and raising awareness about addiction, is relocating to eastern Kentucky this year after five years in West Virginia.
The 2025 edition of the festival will take place Sept. 19-20 on a mountaintop near the Boyd County Fairgrounds in Ashland.
Headlining the event will be festival co-founder Tyler Childers and fellow Kentucky native Chris Stapleton, who will be making his Healing Appalachia debut.
Organizers say the move marks a sort of hometown return for both artists.
Childers announced his return to the festival during a sold-out show at Kroger Field in Lexington over the weekend.
Stapleton has headlined stadiums and arenas nationwide and is expected to draw even more fans to the already growing event.
Since its debut in 2018, Healing Appalachia has grown from fewer than 2,500 attendees to more than 21,000 in 2024. With Stapleton joining the lineup, organizers anticipate even higher attendance this year.
The full lineup has yet to be released.
General admission tickets are $199 for adults and $25 for ages 12-17. VIP passes are available at an early-bird price of $650. Car camping passes are also on sale at the event’s website.
