BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – United States Senate candidate, Glenn Elliott stopped by Raleigh County on Thursday for a small business roundtable discussion.
Elliott spoke with community members, local activists, and business owners regarding a number of issues impacting southern West Virginia. These included economic development, housing, healthcare, and more.
“One of the biggest challenges we have [is] bringing big businesses in,” said Elliott of the current business climate in West Virginia. “We talk a lot about bringing the big businesses in. But I think we sometimes forget the mom and pop shops and small businesses across our state that are struggling, looking for new lifeblood; new assistance; new ways to get help.”
Glenn Elliott is the former Mayor of the City of Wheeling as well as a 2024 Democratic candidate for United States Senate, a race in which current West Virginia Governor and Republican candidate for United States Senate, Jim Justice will also be running.
Voters will make their way to the polls for the General Election on November 5, 2024, to cast their vote for their chosen candidates in multiple races.
