HURRICANE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A $1 million Powerball ticket purchased in West Virginia earlier this year remains unclaimed, according to the West Virginia Lottery.
The winning ticket, drawn in mid-March, was sold at a Par Mar store in Hurricane. Lottery officials are urging players to double-check old tickets, wallets, and even forgotten hiding spots.

“Check tickets and old hiding spots, as there still remains an unclaimed $1 million winner in West Virginia from a draw in mid-March,” the Lottery said in a news release.
The deadline to claim the prize is September 8.
The reminder comes as the Powerball jackpot climbs past $1 billion ahead of the next drawing.
