MORGANTOWN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Travelers flying out of Morgantown Municipal Airport (MGW) can now book United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines, offering convenient connections to Washington, D.C., and Chicago.
The service will begin on December 13, 2024, just in time for the holiday season.
The new flight schedule includes 12 nonstop round trips each week—five to Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) and seven to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
These flights will use the 50-seat CRJ 200 aircraft, known for its comfort.
Morgantown Municipal Airport is also upgrading its facilities to enhance the travel experience. Passengers can enjoy competitive fares, free parking, shorter TSA lines, larger seating areas, and even vehicle detailing services.
Additionally, the airport has installed floor-to-ceiling windows in the waiting area, offering views of aircraft takeoffs and landings.
“On top of the free-parking perks and other services offered at MGW, we have unveiled new floor-to-ceiling windows in the waiting area, located just beyond the TSA checkpoint. These expansive windows not only enhance the aesthetic appeal of the space but also provide passengers with an optimal view of aircraft takeoffs and landings,” said MGW Director Jonathon Vrabel. “The added space accommodates seating for all travelers.”
Morgantown City Manager Kim Haws added, “We believe that the flexibility, convenience, and reliability offered through this new incredible partnership with United Express will greatly enhance travel plans for those visiting Morgantown Municipal Airport.”
