CABELL COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Chaos erupted at Marshall University’s Student Center on Tuesday when campus police responded to multiple calls about an aggressive individual yelling and cursing inside a public restroom.
According to the Marshall University Police Department (MUPD), officers arrived on scene and attempted to de-escalate the situation. However, the male subject remained belligerent, refusing to communicate with officers except through shouting and profanity.
Despite repeated attempts to identify the individual, the man refused to provide his name, continued to yell in officers’ faces, and grew increasingly combative. Officers were eventually forced to physically restrain the subject, placing him in hand restraints and escorting him to a cruiser.
The man was taken to the MUPD station for processing, but continued his non-cooperative behavior, still refusing to give his name or date of birth. He also had no form of identification on him at the time of the arrest.
Marshall University officials have not confirmed if the subject is affiliated with the university. Charges are pending further identification and investigation.
