UPPERGLADE, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Community members throughout Upperglade and the greater Webster County area are mourning the loss of a student on Monday morning.
Superintendent for Webster County Schools, Joseph Arbogast shares the development in an announcement on Monday, stating, “this morning, we experienced the tragic loss of one of our students. We are all heartbroken and extend our prayers and sympathy to everyone that this has had an impact on.”
Identifying information with regard to the student was not shared in the announcement, presumably out of consideration for the loved ones of the student in question.
Specifics with regard to the student’s passing and the surrounding circumstances have not yet been addressed at the time of writing.
Webster County High School will reportedly have multiple school counselors on hand for students throughout the week who will be available to assist in processing this tragedy until 6:00pm each evening. Parents of students were also encouraged to pick their children up from school if they believed that it was in the best interests of the students to do so.
Webster County High School will otherwise reportedly operate on its regular schedule, with busses set to run as usually during the evening hours.
