UPSHUR COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Upshur County Sheriff’s Office is urging residents to stay home unless travel is absolutely necessary as severe flooding continues to impact the area.
The county remains under a State of Emergency, with officials warning that limiting travel helps protect the public and allows emergency crews to respond more quickly to incidents.
“Upshur County is currently under a State of Emergency due to severe flooding. Please stay home unless travel is absolutely necessary,” said Upshur County Sheriff J. Michael Coffman.
Residents are encouraged to monitor local weather conditions and follow updates from official sources as the situation continues to develop.
