RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A community vigil will be held in Beckley later this week to honor the life and work of Charlie Kirk, who died on September 10, 2025, at the age of 31.
The event is scheduled for Friday, September 19, at 7:30 p.m. at Linda K. Epling Stadium.

Organizers say the evening will serve as both a call for unity in the nation and a night of remembrance.
Kirk, born October 14, 1993, was a prominent conservative activist and commentator.
The vigil is being sponsored by the Raleigh County Republican Executive Committee.
Another vigil is planned in Beckley at Word Park this Saturday.
