CHRISTIANSBURG, VA (LOOTPRESS) – A Virginia man has been charged with an array of crimes, many of which are sexual in nature and purportedly involve animals and minors.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office reports that, on October 18, 2024, MCSO members partook in the execution of a search warrant in the Fairview Church area of the county. The warrant was obtained as part of an investigation pertaining to the sexual exploitation of a minor juvenile.
Multiple items were seized from the residence in question, which is owned by Michael James Talkington of Christiansburg, Virginia. Seized items included narcotics and electronics, both of which were analyzed following the search.
Based on this analysis, Talkington has been charged with Sexual Contact with an Animal, Use of Computer to Solicit a Minor, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor, Possession of Child Pornography, Possession of a Schedule I or Schedule II Narcotic, Manufacturing of Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Redistribute, and Use of Computer to Commit Certain Sexual Offenses.
Talkington is being held at the Western Virginia Regional Jail with no bond and an investigation into the situation remains ongoing. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office commended the work of the Christiansburg Police Department and federal agents for their assistance in this investigation.
