RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce (BRCCC) Education Committee is calling for 10 more volunteers to assist with the final session of the Spring 2025 Get A Life program at Trap Hill Middle School on Tuesday, May 27.
The Get A Life program, held in partnership with the West Virginia State Treasurer’s Office and Raleigh County Middle Schools, is a fun and educational budget simulation that teaches students about financial responsibility, budgeting, and real-world decision-making.
Volunteers will help operate interactive stations representing everyday expenses such as banking, medical, auto sales, department stores, insurance, and real estate.
The event is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
After registering, volunteers will receive specific information and instructions ahead of the scheduled event. No prior experience is required—just a willingness to help students learn.
Those interested in volunteering or learning more are encouraged to contact the Chamber by calling 304-252-7328 or emailing chamber@brccc.com.
