RALEIGH COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man with active warrants out of Fayette County was arrested Friday following a domestic incident response in the Sophia area, according to the Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene on April 3 in reference to a reported domestic situation.
While en route, Cpl. R. McDaniel and Deputy H. Lundy were informed that the suspect, identified as Michael Wood, had outstanding warrants.
During their investigation, deputies located and apprehended Wood without incident.
He was taken into custody on charges related to felony escape and a circuit court capias stemming from Fayette County.
Sheriff Frank Priddy and Chief Deputy Frankie Shelton commended McDaniel and Lundy for their efforts in locating and arresting the suspect.
