WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A man wanted on several outstanding warrants was found slumped over inside a vehicle.
On August 21, 2024, Cpl. Zach Cook of the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Wyoming County, West Virginia. Upon arriving at the scene, Cook discovered a white car with a male occupant slumped over inside. The individual was quickly identified as Jonathan Lee Cook, a person known to law enforcement due to several outstanding warrants.
Upon engaging with Cook, Cpl. Cook observed that the suspect appeared confused and slurred his speech. When asked to empty his pockets, Jonathan Cook handed over a plastic bag containing four smaller bags. Three of the bags held a white powdery substance, while the fourth contained a small brown block, both of which were suspected to be controlled substances.
Following this discovery, Jonathan Lee Cook was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. He was then transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office for processing.
