WAR, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The War Police Department has announced it will be conducting a DUI checkpoint on Friday, May 10, 2025. The checkpoint will take place at the intersection of Warriormine Road and Rocket Boys Drive, near Grants Supermarket.
Authorities say the checkpoint will be in operation from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. as part of ongoing efforts to reduce impaired driving and increase public safety.
Motorists wishing to avoid delays in the area are advised to use alternate routes, including River Road, Berwind Mountain Road, Rift Berwind Road, and Route 161.
The department encourages all drivers to travel responsibly and reminds the public that DUI enforcement is a critical tool in preventing accidents and saving lives.
