Hico – Midland Trail knocked off Webster County 3-1 Wednesday night. The Patriots took set one, 25-16 before the Highlanders bounced back for a 25-21 win to even the match.
The final two sets went to the home team 25-15 and 25-13.

Midland Trail 172, Pocahontas County 177
Fayetteville – Midland Trail topped regional foe Pocahontas County 172-177 Wednesday in a match held at Bridge Haven on the Gorge.
Landyn Cordell from Midland Trail and Reagan Friel from Pocahontas County led their respective teams and tied for low medalist honors with a 41.
Van Wood added a 43 for the Patriots, while Jacob Brown and Brody Jones each shot 44.
Dillon Dunn followed Friel with a 42 for the Warriors. Bailey Zickafoose had a 45 and Warren Burns shot 49.

Independence 140, Mingo Central 142, Westside 150
Clear Fork – Independence edged Mingo Central and Westside Wednesday in a golf match at Clear Fork Valley Golf course.
Hunter Moore led the Patriots with a 45, while Logan Faw shot 46 and Dakota Bragg had a 49 for the three-person team score. Hunter Lilly had a 50 followed Carter Dickens at 51. Fisher Bailey and Austin Clay each shot 52.
Elijah May paced the Miners with a 45. Hunter Star shot 46 and Dawson Moore had 51.
Alex Brunty was the low medalist with a 44 for the Renegades. Hayden Lusk and Bronson Lusk each had a 53.
