CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Barboursville man has been sentenced to federal prison after pleading guilty to a drug charge.
Henry Rogers, 66, was sentenced Thursday to four years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

According to court records, Rogers was stopped by law enforcement on February 17, 2023, while driving on U.S. Route 19 in Nicholas County.
Officers seized methamphetamine during the stop and later obtained a search warrant for his vehicle.
Inside the trunk, they found more methamphetamine along with a .380-caliber pistol. In total, 205.2 grams of methamphetamine were recovered.
Rogers has a prior felony conviction for conspiring to manufacture methamphetamine.
United States District Judge Thomas E. Johnston handed down the sentence.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney D. Keith Randolph, with the West Virginia State Police leading the investigation.
Acting U.S. Attorney Lisa G. Johnston commended the work of investigators in the case.
