FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The West Virginia State Police will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Fayette County next week as part of efforts to detect and deter impaired driving.
The checkpoint is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 13, from 6:00 p.m. to midnight on Route 16 in Oak Hill, between State Street and Ridgewood Avenue.
According to the West Virginia State Police, the purpose of the checkpoint is to identify impaired drivers, discourage driving under the influence, and educate the public about the dangers of impaired driving.
