ORIGINAL STORY: The West Virginia Turnpike is currently shut down in all directions.
According to West Virginia 511, a vehicle crash occurred at mile marker 87 on I-77/I-64 near Chesapeake in Kanawha County.
Both the northbound and southbound lanes are shut down.
Traffic is currently backed up in both directions.
An estimated reopening time has not been released at this time.
