WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – An 81-year-old West Virginia woman was killed Wednesday afternoon in a rollover crash along Interstate 70 in Kansas, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 4 p.m. about two miles west of Abilene in Dickinson County.
Troopers said a Honda CR-V traveling on I-70 veered off the highway, struck an embankment and rolled several times.
Authorities identified the victim as Bonnie K. Huff, 81, of Clarksburg, West Virginia. She died at the scene from injuries suffered in the crash.
The driver of the SUV, an 85-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and was transported to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for treatment.
The Kansas Highway Patrol continues to investigate the cause of the crash.
