MERCER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Southern West Virginia residents will have the chance to ride the state’s only mountain coaster for free during a special event later this month.
Local businessman Casey Bowling announced he has reached an agreement with the owners of Brush Creek Holl’r Mountain Coaster in Princeton to offer one free ride per person on Tuesday, July 28, from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The event is open to the public and includes free admission to the coaster, with the attraction operating during the six-hour event. Brush Creek Holl’r, located at 116 Fuller Lane in Princeton just off Interstate 77, is West Virginia’s first and only mountain coaster.
Children ages 3 to 8 who are at least 38 inches tall may ride with an adult age 16 or older. Riders ages 9 and older who are at least 54 inches tall may ride alone.
Participants will be required to complete a liability waiver, which can be filled out online before arrival or in person at the attraction.
Bowling said he hopes the event gives more people an opportunity to experience one of southern West Virginia’s unique attractions.
“We have some very cool stuff in southern WV,” Bowling said. “I love showcasing it and giving everyone an opportunity to enjoy it.”
The free ride offer is limited to one ride per person. Brush Creek Holl’r is located approximately 30 minutes south of Beckley.
