CLEAR FORK, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Liberty High School’s golf team competed Monday, August 11, at Clear Fork Valley Golf Course against host Westside High School and the Independence High School, finishing in second place.
Westside captured the win with a team total of 141. Liberty followed with a score of 146, while Independence placed third with 163.

For Liberty, Josh Lafferty led the way with a round of 46 over nine holes. He was followed by Jayson Dillon with 49, Liam Ellison with 53, and Zane Green with 61.
Westside’s Bronson Lusk recorded the match’s lowest individual score with a 43. Other Westside scorers included Parker Cline and Brycen Mogan, each with 49, and Riley Lester with 51.
Independence was led by Hunter Lilly’s 51, along with Carter Dickens (54), Bentley Barr (58), Dakota Bragg (60), and Zane Bragg (60).
The match was played on a par-35 course.
