LOGAN, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Logan woman is facing multiple felony charges after West Virginia State Police said troopers seized illegal drugs during the execution of felony warrants and additional drugs were later discovered at a regional jail.
According to the West Virginia State Police, Trooper C.D. Woodall of the Logan Detachment responded to a residence on Lariet Circle on Tuesday, June 23, to serve felony warrants on Charli N. Conn, 39, of Logan.
During the investigation, troopers reported seizing a significant quantity of fentanyl, and Conn was taken into custody.
State police said that after Conn was transported to the Southwestern Regional Jail, correctional staff discovered a substantial amount of heroin and methamphetamine concealed within a body cavity.
Conn was charged with three counts of possession with intent to deliver, one count of introducing contraband into a jail facility, and one count of obstructing an officer.
She was incarcerated at the Southwestern Regional Jail pending arraignment.
The investigation remains ongoing.
As with all criminal cases, state police say Conn is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
